Photos aren’t just “photos” to me. They are each a unique documented moment in time that can be remembered in a visual way. People often default to a quick smile and “look at the camera guys!” when a camera is pointed at them but this is one of the biggest reasons I do what I do. Documenting the little moments when nobody is watching. Not setting everything up for perfection, allowing those unique moments to unfold, giving guidance but not direct instruction. I adore looking for the in between moments… hugs amongst family members, laughter between friends, subtle glances between prompts or poses. Those are the photos that have drawn me to my work. Those are the moments I seek.
